Google Local Services Ads Management
Get to the top when local customers are ready to call.
Pay for qualified leads — not clicks. Local Services Ads can put your business above traditional Google Ads, Maps and organic results.
The placement
Be one of the first businesses they see
When someone searches Google for a plumber, HVAC company, electrician, roofer or other local service provider, some of the most valuable real estate on the page can appear above traditional Google Ads, Maps and organic search results.
Those are Google Local Services Ads.
Instead of paying for clicks to your website, you pay for valid leads — phone calls, messages and bookings.

The difference
What makes Local Services Ads different?
Traditional Google Search Ads generally send someone to your website when they click. Local Services Ads are designed to generate direct customer connections. Depending on the business and campaign, customers may be able to:
- 01
Call your business
- 02
Send a message
- 03
Request or book an appointment
- 04
View your reviews
- 05
See your business information
- 06
Review verification information
- 07
Choose you directly from the search results

Before the customer ever reaches your website, they can see important trust signals and contact your business directly from Google.
Pricing model
You pay for leads — not website clicks
With traditional Search Ads, clicking your ad generally costs money whether or not that visitor ever contacts you.
With Local Services Ads and Google’s newer pay-per-lead campaigns, you pay when a valid potential customer actually contacts your business through the ad.
Lead costs can vary based on your market, service, competition, lead type and bidding strategy. That makes proper budgeting and management important.
Auction reality
Getting approved is only the beginning
Simply being eligible for Local Services Ads does not guarantee that your business will consistently appear at the top.
Businesses compete through an auction that considers bidding as well as the overall quality and relevance of the business profile. Google may consider your responsiveness, reviews, business information, relevance to the customer’s search and other profile-quality signals.
That’s where active management matters.

Lead quality over lead count
- Are the right customers contacting you?
- Are they calling about the services you want more of?
- Are those opportunities becoming booked jobs and revenue?
Twenty great leads can be far more valuable than fifty calls from people looking for services you don’t provide. That’s why we look beyond the lead count — because the goal isn’t simply more leads. It’s more of the right leads.
Platform change
Local Services Ads are changing
Google is moving Local Services Ads into the Google Ads platform. Beginning in 2026, eligible accounts are being transitioned to a specialized type of Performance Max campaign designed specifically around pay-per-lead goals.
Despite the Performance Max name, these campaigns are different from standard Performance Max advertising. You still pay for valid leads rather than clicks, ads continue to appear in local positions on Google Search and Google Maps, and targeting remains keywordless — driven largely by your services, service areas and Google Business Profile information.
What is changing is where and how these campaigns are managed. Conmigo Media manages both existing Local Services Ads and Google’s evolving pay-per-lead campaign structure so our clients don’t have to keep up with every platform change themselves.

Who can use Local Services Ads?
